Our Team
Jean Czaja (B.A., B.Ed.)
Jean Czaja is the founder of the Westside
Children's Choir and the Westside Women's Choir. She is a
respected choral music director and clinician, dedicated to
educating children and sharing her love of choral music. Her
choirs are noted for their musicality and their superior tone.
Jean was a classroom music teacher, a music specialist, and
a music consultant with the Calgary Board of Education.
Gail Danysk (M.Ed.)
Gail Danysk is an International Adjudicator and Examiner of Highland Dancing. She is currently the Kindergarten Specialist with the Calgary Board of Education.
Elizabeth Di
Marino (B. Mus., B. Ed.)
Elizabeth Di Marino is an elementary music
specialist for the Calgary Board of Education. She returned to the Westside team in January 2009, having been on
maternity leave from September to December, 2008.
Judy Dofoo (B.A., M.A.)
Judy Dofoo is a cellist and pianist as well as being a member of the Westside
Women's Choir. She has taught in Jamaica, England and Canada, including twenty-five years with the Calgary Board of Education. She continues to work
with children in her role as Assistant Coordinator of Campus Calgary Stampede School and as a rehearsal assistant with the Westside Children's Choir.
Carolyn McLeod
Metz (ARCT, LMM, ARCCO)
Carolyn McLeod-Metz is a busy Calgary-area
organist, pianist and accompanist. She is the organist at St. Matthew's United Church.
Beverly Monro
(ARCT in piano performance)
Beverly Monro is the principal accompanist
and artistic advisor for the Westside Children's Choir. An
accomplished, versatile and respected accompanist, Bev works
with many Calgary choirs including the Westside Women's Choir
and Westwind Music Society.
Heather Nail (B.Mus., B.Ed.)
Heather Nail is an elementary music specialist for the Calgary Board of Education. Heather is returning to the Westside Team in September, 2010 as the director of the Senior Choir.
