The Westside Children’s Choir is made up of
ninety singers in two choirs. The choirs perform a variety
of secular and sacred music in a range of styles and from different
periods.
Jean Czaja, a respected choir director and teacher,
founded the choir in 1995. It was created to provide children with
high quality choral music education with rehearsals only once a
week.
The directors of the Westside Children’s
choirs are professional teachers and musicians. They are dedicated
to developing a love of music and singing in their individual choir
members, while working to achieve excellence in the choir’s
sound.
The Westside Children’s Choirs perform
at a number of different concerts through the year. They regularly
thrill their audiences and adjudicators with their musicality, tone,
and joy of singing.
